The History of CHRONOSWISS Watches

Chronoswiss Replica Watch

Gerd-R. Lang since the early childhood had a great enthusiasm about mechanical tools. He was eager to make a grand career in watch industry. In 1983, the watchmaker established Chronoswiss in Munich, Germany, and began producing the most unusual mechanical watches. He bought limited edition timepieces and old movements that he could enhance. By and by, his timepieces became acknowledged for their classical grace and technical sophistication.

In 1988, Chronoswiss astounded the globe by presenting its spectacular regulator wristwatch featuring the outsized regulator face that previously had only adorned the dials of pocket watches and clocks. In 1990, the company commenced manufacturing its own models and in 1992, it created a worldwide sensation when it unveiled its copyrighted two-handed Rattrapante.

Undeniably, Chronoswiss Co. has often presented mechanical works of art that have brought the brand worldwide admiration. Amongst them is the copyrighted, reversible Cabrio watch, which was introduced in 1993, a year later the patented Grand Regulateur was introduced. In 1995, the Opus automatic skeletonized chronograph debuted and in 1996, the Delphis watch with an exclusive system of analog, digital and conservative time-displays made a dramatic impression on the world of mechanical watch industry.

The initial skeletonized automatic fly-back chronograph, called the Pathos, debuted in 1998, and in 2001, the Tourbillon Regulator grabbed out the public interest with its gorgeousness and technically sophisticated movement. All these products have gained no less than one worldwide prize, with numerous victorious marks of distinction.

Gerd-R. Lang continues to develop and improve the gracious art of mechanical watch-making and has thus advanced his trademark into the XXI century with a great passion that is really incomparable. Chronoswiss relies upon exclusivity and produces only about 7,000 watches per year for global distribution.

Every component of Chronoswiss watches is produced in Switzerland and watches are hand made according to Gerd-R. LangРІР‚в„ўs rigorous specifications.

Fanatical about timing, Lang is lovingly nicknamed “Mr. Chronograph” by his pals and coworkers.

For over twenty years, he has renovated numerous interesting chronograph movements, and frequently added additional functions and complexities to those timekeeping treasures.

In his latest watch, the Chronoscope, the celebrated watchmaker pays tribute to the groundbreaking accomplishments of the 19th century watch creators who committed themselves to designing split-second timing. For this first chronograph with regulator face, Chronoswiss has modified the plate of the movement to place the switching mechanism at the front. The three chronograph functions (start, stop and reset to zero) are activated by a button that is inbuilt into the crown, not by separate buttons.

To create this watch, 38 parts were specifically manufactured. The automatic movement allows the Chronoscope to compute periods of time to a sixth-of-a-second precision.

The varnished face of the Chronoscope is a beauty and harmony work. The scale for the chronograph hand is subdivided into 360 shifts. There is an individual sub dial at 12:00 for the hours readout and another sub dial at 6:00 for the minutes. The hands of the timepiece have been specifically designed to be tremendously lean and graceful, and they are made reddish-blue to imitate the faces of 19th century chronographs.

The 38mm case of the Chronoscope is made up of 23 separate components and is watertight to 30 meters. The sapphire crystal is antireflective on both sides to boost legibility. Chronoswiss Watch Company has developed 17 diverse versions of the Chronoscope (with cases made of gold or stainless steel and faces of different colors).
