 Hublot has continuously maintained close connection to the world of sea and yachting. As a faithful partner and friend of the Yacht Club of Monaco, the Swiss watch brand participated in the 8th Monaco Classic Week held from 12 to 16 September. This way Hublot and the Monaco Club have once again strengthened their relations and shared the common values. Tuiga represents the flagship of the Yacht Club of Monaco. On board Tuiga Jean-Claude Biver revealed to the general public and the media the third version of the Big Bang developed exclusively to honor the vessel. The reception was held on the legendary boat, a 15-meter JI class constructed by William Fife and restored in 1993. The boat is moored in front of the Yacht Club. Being the Official Timekeeper of the Yacht Club of Monaco and maintaining deep respect for tradition,and constant quest for innovation, during the Classic Week Hublot presented awards for distinction in a few categories: - the Personality of the Sea 2007, for one's activity relevant to the sea and environment protection - the owner-member of la Belle Classe that has been most successful on his yacht restoration - the winners of the Monaco Classic Week 2007 races. The jury composed from personalities from the nautical world, as well as prestigious guests, joined this nautical gathering, in a setting worshiped by Hublot. The new Hublot chronograph follows the success of the two previously developed Tuiga-devoted Big Bang watch models. The timepiece is developed in distinctively avant-garde style, featuring exclusive choice of materials, Tantalum and Ceramic. The metal of grey-blue tint is characterized by extreme corrosion-resistance, hardness and rarity. Presented in combination with ceramic and rubber, it perfectly matches the marine world. You will notice the red pennants of the Yacht Club of Monaco on the gray dial of the Big Bang positioned at 9 o'clock. The brand's master watchmakers provided the timepiece with the high-tech finish. The new originally-designed Tuiga Big Bang has successfully united the past and the future, natural elements and materials' refinement. For the first time since their creation, the watch models will be available for the Yacht Club members, with a unique possibility reserve a personalized version of the timepiece engraved with the initials. The tantalum case of the Big Bang for Tuiga, 44.5 mm in diameter, has colorless PVD coating. The black ceramic bezel of the watch sports satin-finish surface with 6 titanium H-shaped screws. The sapphire crystal has been provided with interior anti-reflection treatment. The case back created in microblasted tantalum with sapphire crystal, also has interior anti-reflection treatment. It displays the reproduction of the flagship yacht and MYC flags. The watch's crown and rectangular push-pieces crafted in satin-finish steel has been provided with natural black rubber inserts. The construction is 100-meter water resistant. The dial of the Big Bang for Tuiga features matt black with ruthenium numerals and applique index markers. The Hublot logo is sported at 12 o'clock, while the Yacht Club Monaco logo is found on the counter at 9 o'clock. In the heart og the watch there beats the mechanical chronograph with automatic winding 252-component movement - Hublot HUB44 calibre developed in cooperation with La Joux-Perret. The calendar function is presented through a trapezoid aperture placed at 4.30. The mechanism provides 42-hour power reserve. The adjustable natural black rubber strap adds a final touch to the overall image of the timepiece. The Big Bang for Tuiga is produced in limited edition of 500 individually numbered pieces. |
