The Vacheron Constantin Chronometre Royal watch collection has long been synonymous to precision and reliability and the most sophisticated three-fold demand expression. To pay tribute to the iconic model, Vacheron Constantin added a new timepiece to its 'Historiques' line - the Chronometre Royal 1907. The timepiece will be highly appreciated by watch collectors and connoisseurs who value traditional craftsmanship. The Vacheron Constantin 'Historiques' line appeared as an impressive reflection of the brand's heritage, while the modern versions of the legendary timepieces express the know-how and bold spirit continuously maintained by the brand. The Chronometre Royal model has been a registered trademark of the brand since 1907. One hundred years later, Vacheron Constantin has created a new interpretation of the watch. The Chronometre Royal 1907 has been produced in a limited series of just 100 pieces. The classically elegant case of the watch crafted in 18K pink gold is 39 mm in diameter. The case with a domed sapphire crystal features a satin-brushed case-band with a spherical crown. The construction is 30-meter water-resistant. The transparent back of the case provides the owner of the watch with an exclusive chance to admire the perfect finishing of the Vacheron Constantin newly-developed Calibre 2460 SCC. The bezel of the Chronometre Royal 1907 is quite narrow to provide enough space for the elegant dial. The dial of the timepiece has been created to reflect the spirit and the century-old techniques sported by the initial Chronometre Royal introduced back in 1907. The distinctive characteristic of the dial is exclusive white Grand Feu enamel on an 18K white gold base. You will notice one more peculiarity on the dial – among the painted Arabic numerals, the number '12' is accentuated in a rich shade of burgundy red. The original model has suggested one more design detail of the dial - a complete external outer minute circle that adds the finishing touch to the entire look of dial. The 'Chronometre Royal' arc-like inscription is found above the 'Vacheron Constantin Geneve' inscription featured at 12 o'clock. The 18K yellow gold hands are pear-shaped, hinting at the aesthetics of the initially created Chronometre Royal. Peerless depth and luminosity of the dial are created due to enamel, a stable material that requires a lot of work. It is highly appreciated by watch-makers for its remarkable ability to pass the test of time as well as its oxidation-resistance. Only a few specialists have mastered the enamel-working, creating objects of the exceptional quality as featured by the Vacheron Constantin timepieces. The dial of every Chronometre Royal 1907, absolutely unique due to a wealth of tiny details, is traditionally hand-crafted. While the specialists are producing the dial, to achieve an optimal effect, they have to subject it to 5-7 firings in the oven at extreme temperatures of about 800 degrees C. To exclude the risk of buckling during the heating, an enamel backing layer on the lower face is used to strengthen the enameled dial. All the operations are carried out in the most delicate way not to destroy the unique composition of the piece. As a result, the new Chronometre Royal 1907 watches demonstrate the art of Grand Feu enameling in the most refined way. In the heart of the Chronometre Royal 1907 there beats the mechanical automatic Calibre 2460 SCC. The mechanism has been completely designed, developed and manufactured by the Manufacture. The same as the most prestigious models in the long history of the Chronometre Royal the unique movement is provided with a stop seconds device that gives the watch's wearer a chance to completely stop the timepiece and then adjust it to the nearest second. The mechanism is beating at 28,800 vibrations per hour. It offers 43-hour power-reserve and drives central hour, minute and seconds hands. Due to ceramic ball-bearings applied in the oscillating weight rotation there is no need to lubricate the bearings.
