About the Competition
Grand Prix dРІР‚в„ўHorlogerie ceremony annually draws thousands of people related to the Swiss and German watch-making industries, as well as those from social, political and artistic community. The competition is held by GenevaРІР‚в„ўs Revue des Arts magazine with the support of the United Bank of Switzerland. All the watch brands may take part in the competition and offer one of their models to strive for the awards which are divided into ten categories.
The winners are chosen by 11 judges from different countries of the world - Germany, Switzerland, Japan, United States, Russia, Italy and Hong Kong.

Vacheron Constantin’s Tour de l’Ile watch represents one of the most complicated timepieces ever developed that required about 5 years to be finished. The watch is powered by a unique movement – the hand wind caliber 2750 – that is composed of 834 parts. Tour de l’Ile double-faced watch features 16 complications, including such major ones as minute repeater, perpetual calendar with star chart, equation of time and tourbillon.
